They were ugly and not in the same grav well as the planets, but I could still see them as moons.

Why the name change to dwarf planet? They now just really ugly uninspired planets.....Stardock you should be embarrassed.

Pluto, is a dog. Although Goofy is a dog too. Yet Pluto is dog-dog, but Goofy is... whatever he is. Could Pluto be Goofy's dog? Could Goofy be Pluto's dog? Which is more perverse?

Am I on or off topic here?

Quoting Mecha-Lenin,

Am I on or off topic here?

That's a really good question for most of the posts on this forum.

Goofy is an anthropomorfized dog, but the demotion of Pluto is seen by many as Goofy.

Although Pluto is a pet owned by an anthropomorfized mouse - Mickey - but Goofy is independent and is seen as a person with all rights a person would have.

People's affection for the underdog (in this case undermouse) has always been in humanity, since at least David and Goliath, so Mickey has as an arch-nemesis an anthropomorfized cat, Pete (aka Black Pete or Peg-Leg Pete). Cats are selfish bastards and no one loves them, except for braindead lolcat lovers, which are mind controlled anyway. Pete is also older than Mickey by some 3 years and started out as a bear (that's a fact). It is unknown whether there was a gender change along with the species change it has undergone.

There is much controversy also about Donald Duck: first one is that it is not a duck but a teal, due to its gait and perched up tail. Also there is debate on the true origin of its 'nephews': the mother is (are?) never known, and it is speculated that Donald the Teal, in his life as a sailor, actually murdered prostitutes which fathered his illegitimate sons, and he adopted them out of guilt. He does not murder Daisy because she reminds him of his mother. Other theory is that it is actually Donald the Bear, the brown one with a friendly smile, usually seen around small kids, with perverse intentions.

So yes, there are countless rumors and controversy around Pluto, Goofy and the other celestial bodies in their vicinity in Disney planetary system.

Honestly, some people will just never be happy and so they should lower the expectations to just be constantly annoyed by everything.

@yarlen

Hmm well we can lower our expectations to increase your profit margins i suppose.

After all lower expectations = less need to provide good gaming content= less time spent on development=more short term profit.

Yarlen, how can you honestly say that adding 2 planetary upgrades to a moon alleviates the core issue that your team added something that wasn't very interesting to the game?

Especially when modders have shown you that interesting planet/moon types are completely viable.

Also the player base is justified by not being able to even test the game during the beta due to desyncs and minidumps

@ sinperium

Last time I checked we are providing user feedback.  The increase in negative threads should be a good indicator that something is wrong with the game.  I consider this completely on track and the forum fulfills its goal, to help developers communicate with the players to see how they can improve their game.  If something generates negativity and has merit it should be changed.  Its up to the developers to decide what that is.  I hope developers make good decisions, because their decisions in response to this negativity indicate clearly what we are really going to get with rebellion.

Quoting sareth01,

Funny thing is that it is only the ICO players whom are making the negative threads. Of course the desynchs need to be fixed but the dev's stated in the latest GameSpy interview that they are addressing the multiplayer desynchs and are working on unit balance. What more do you really expect at this point?

@ teun-a-roonius

Well the fact that the multiplayer experience is a painful one to endure at the moment means the developers have a very precise set of information on what the problem is!

Oh and I'm not expecting anything more then some minidump fixes to the patches.  Some nice balance changes would be the icing on the cake.  I just hope that this won't be the last patch before release (can't see how that would be possible anyways, but you never know).

Its just now I have so much time to type on the forums now that I can't enjoy sins rebellion that i'm going in depth with every bit of balance issues that currently aren't being discussed in the forums(and i've already played the crap out of diplomacy...lol).

I can test those theories in single player and verify the results, taking into account how I would expect a human opponent to play and oppose the strategy.  Its what my sins experience has been reduced to!  .

I grew up with 9 planets and was taught that till middle school and then they change it, no they should have left Pluto alone and made the others DWARF PLANETS!

Quoting Mecha-Lenin,
Quoting TerribleNate, reply 14I wish it was possible to remove karma for pointless threads that distract from the important aspects of the beta. Or at the very least vote to remove karma for dev review.

You'd be at around -9000 karma then. All your comments are annoying.

TerribleNate is OK, but AnnoyingNate would be more fitting.

That is only because you hate humanity, O the humanity!!!!
