Massive Games

Before Buying

Hello, this looks like a very interesting game (rebellion). And I will probably buy it, but first I want to know a little about performance when playing massive games.

I would love to set up a galaxy with several hundred planets, or more, all player slots filled. And be able to play for a long time.

With a maximum ammount of ships.

As well as sometimes modding the game to increase the limits.

Is this possible, or will the performance become an issue?

My Specs:

Nivida GeForce GT540 1gb

8gb ram

Intel Core i7 2,2GHz

Thanks in advance for any answers!

There may be performance issues and not due to your system. Sins is sadly 32-bit (developed when 64 bit systems were just starting to come out) and so suffers lag issues late game with large systems. There are things you can do to help reduce the lag (keeping that neat Empire Tree feature at a minimum helps for starters) which some (like myself) have found that to be useful.
