Sins: Rebellion Collector's Edition Upgade

So I got an email about the upgrade to Sins Collector's Edition... According to the email, only 2,600 are available... and the price of the "upgrage" is $69.99 plus S/H. 

I already own Rebellion on steam. Does it mean that I still have to pay $69.99 plus S/H for a toy and dog tags?

  • Set of Rebellion dog tags
  • Metal imaged mouse pad with Rebellion artwork
  • Steelbook DVD Case with game DVD and 2 music CDs

I checked and after taxes and shipping, the so-called "upgrade" will come to roughly $109... 

Now I would be happy to own this stuff, but for at least 2x cheaper... considering I already own the game and all previous sins games.

We tried our best on the shipping, and the game does not come with a serial, so you aren't re-paying for the game. If you live in the US, the shipping will only be around $10, and we are selling these at cost...this Collector's Edition is for the fans!

The package just contains a game DVD, there's not a new Steam key for it.  This is the upgrade pricing and is at cost.

But there seems to be a problem with the email, as the pre-order button didn't work (no link). I had to open the page source to find the url.

$70!!!  Considering we already own the game this is simply too much.  I truly thought that the offer to pre-order fans would only be perhaps $30-$40 ADDITIONAL over the game cost, not a further $69.99.  It may be at cost, but it has lost appeal to me now.

Any chance the music CDs will be available sperately at some point? That is what I really wanted anyhow.

This collector's edition is unlike any we've ever done before. It's def worth the money.

Probably not.  I converted the music from Rebellion into .mp3 a long time ago, so you could just do that.  Don't ask me how, because I won't tell you until Stardock has run out of CEs.

Yes, logging in dropped my shipping from $40 to $11.

I got my email at 1:16, saw it at 1:35, and had to fight the deluged store for 12 minutes to get my very own Kol.

Totally worth it.

Zomg....I have the game already and played it in beta.  

 

So can someone boil this down for me?  I want the collectors edition stuff like the battleship and all that, but I already have the game.  What do i do to get the ancillary stuff, and what will the cost be?
