So I got an email about the upgrade to Sins Collector's Edition... According to the email, only 2,600 are available... and the price of the "upgrage" is $69.99 plus S/H.

I already own Rebellion on steam. Does it mean that I still have to pay $69.99 plus S/H for a toy and dog tags?

Check out what’s included below:

  • Painted Kol Battleship Model
  • Set of Rebellion dog tags
  • Metal imaged mouse pad with Rebellion artwork
  • Steelbook DVD Case with game DVD and 2 music CDs
  • Two 18x26" Rebellion posters

http://www.sinsofasolarempire.com/collectorsedition?ref=sinscollectm1_topheaderimg

I checked and after taxes and shipping, the so-called "upgrade" will come to roughly $109...

Now I would be happy to own this stuff, but for at least 2x cheaper... considering I already own the game and all previous sins games.

My question about Canadian side shipping (before I order the CE), what method of shipping is being used? Considering the price we're being charged I assume all customs related fees are included?

Nothing is more frustrating than getting an order in from the US that ends up in a 60$ additional brokerage fee 3 months down the road.

Basically my question is what specific method of delivery (courier + service) is used for Canadian shipments?

I bought rebellion through steam, can I still get the CE? I bought through steam due to paypal being a hassel I did not want to go through just yet and wanted to play already instead of waiting a week before being able to...

We're using USPS International 1st Class for any destination outside the U.S.  As for customs...I don't know. If you email sales@stardock.com, they should be able to tell you.

Yup. So long as you've run the game once, you should be set.

Excellent news, thank you!

I'm not overly concerned about the actual customs fee (at most Canada border services will charge 13%, basically the destination's product sales tax) it was more the concern of brokerage fees that UPS, FedEX, etc are notorious for, these get compounded on top of the taxes and are normally in the range of an additional 50$.

I've shipped many things with USPS and brokerage isn't an issue with them. Happy to see people are going this route over the couriers.

It seems PayPal isn't a way to pay anymore? Or am I doing something wrong?

Edit: Rebellion can still be paid with PayPal, but it seems the collectors edition can't...Please make the CE also payable through PayPal...

We can't take Paypal for pre-orders.  I would assume once we are actually shipping Paypal will be added.
