Where do I put maps?

So I just got Rebellion installed on this machine and I wanted to make a map.

The Galaxy forge that installed along with the game instantly crashes when i try to start it, so I figure I'd download Galaxy forge 3 from the web..

Now I've made a map.. but I can't seem to find the right place to put it.. at least not for the game to find.

I've tried in the games Galaxy folder and I cannot find it in the game.

I figured I'd try the documents filepath.. but that just makes the game insta crash soon as i flip through the map types to map designer or Galaxy forge (depending on which one i put it in.

Is Galaxy forge 3 simply not compatible with Rebellion?

What can I do to get the including galaxy forge working? it simply crashes right as it starts, it doesn't even open the window, it just says directly "this program has encountered and error and must close."

even if I did manage to get it working, would a map made in Galaxy forge 3 be compatible with the included Galaxy forge? can I somehow convert the map I've already spent the better part of 2 hours making?

Galaxy Forge 3 is not compatible with Rebellion anymore. Make sure your .net framework is fully up to date, maybe then the included one will work. Harpo has made a tool to convert GF 3 for Rebellion, but if at all possible you should make any new maps with the GalaxyForge in the game directory. Making it in GF3 then converting it is not an ideal solution.

I'd like to try to convert it first, as i did spend the better part of 2 hours on it..

Where can I find said tool?

EDIT: From what I can tell, my .net is up to date, version 4 is installed, tried repairing it, but it made no difference.

Is there a list of requirments somewhere for Galaxy forge?
