New to Rebellion, but have played Entrenchment previously and must say it’s a very welcome addition from what I’ve seen so far in the first ten minutes I’ve been able to play before the game completely crashes on me.

Basically, I can’t get passed the first ten minutes. After this period the game will completely crash, crashing Windows 7 too, as I can’t minimise the game in any conventional way I know to further assess the problem.  (Alt + tab, Windows button, Ctrl+Alt+Del) When the game does crash however, everything visible on the screen appears to have ’squares/big pixels’ across it in another colour. If it’s any help there is no music playing, and for me to resume functionality of my computer I must manually restart it using the on/off switch. Before the crash/ occurring event the game runs flawlessly, with no problems.

I have set the game up to use 3Gb instead of 2gb using the command prompt tool.

Latest version of Direct X is installed. And as far as I know all my drivers are too.

System information:

Windows 7 – Service Pack 1

Processor: Intel   i7 3.80Ghz

RAM: 16gb

Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 4800 series

Primary HDD: OCZ Agility SSD

Any help would be great, thanks in advance.

What you're describing sounds like a hardware failure.  I'd double check all your drivers with a clean set of drivers and then do a reinstall, without that 3gb switch, if your problem isn't resolved.  If it still isn't working right, I'd be leaning towards a hardware defect in your video card.

Thank you for such a quick response, psychoak. Yes your right it was, seems that my drivers were completely missing! Not 100% sure how this occurred. But Rebellion works fine now, thanks for your help.
