Got it!  It is nice, not sure of the purpose, since all the apps on the PC are already on the metro start page, but it is nice.

Maybe the jumplists will be handy. Is there anything more to it? Am I missing something?

Well, I don't know, something that isn't already there?  The clock and the jumplists is all I see that wasn't already there. 

I'm not complaining, just wondering the benefits.

If no then why? Is SD shifting the business model to utilities and games?

Other than the jump list feature and the clock it isn't going to be a real time saver if you have your tiles in nice logical groupings. 

Yeah but their is a HUGE difference between the 2. My feelings on Start8 are no secret and I won't repeat them here.

This app provides a more logical interface to the native environment. Its long term potential is much better.

To be honest, it's hard to see a real benefit for this app. If you fancy an "old style" row of small icons and you for some weird reason need to have ton of tiles, you could just make your tiles 1x1 and need to scroll would go away. It's not like all the apps are or need to be at the start screen.

More interesting app would be a hack, that would stuck-pin a tile group to the left of the screen when scrolling right. That way you would still get the benefit and looks of the tiles without loosing one click access.

I tried it and it just did not add any real functionality as far as productivity go's. What would be nice is to be able to use 3D Tiles in the start menu. That would not be productive ether but it sure would look good.

This is just my opinion. But I do think the 3D tiles would be a hit after all this is a skinning lot.

Um... 2 entirely different apps with entirely different functions. Why would it replace Decor8?

I know you are going to think I am crazy...but I'd like to have the shortcut in BOTH places. In the shortcut dock, and the metro screen.

 I havent tried the software, so correct me if I am wrong, but as of now you can only have it in one place, but not both, right?!

 Is there a way to achieve that?

EDIT: I don't mean always. Just as an option. Like every icon/shorcut you drag you have the option of it been duplicated, or "deleted" from the original location after it's been mobed.)
