Strange Font Behavior in Sins after a Windows Update

Odd Font Behavior

Wondering if anyone else has run into this problem recently..

Been running Sins Reb 1.82 for the last while, no issues no problems (beyond the memory issue that is known)

Been using many mods no issue not a problem (including my fave SoA2)

did not update to 1.83 (checked )

Issue is this.. a windows update seems to have changed my game at some level.. the font has changed to a different font and slightly larger size.. (think its shifted to Ariel from whatever it was)

Main game runs just fine however.. but now any mod i install crashes.. mods that worked just fine prior (SoA2, and a handful others ) no longer function and crash.. wondering if anyone else has experienced issues with things like that?

I suspect it may have something to do with some of the Mods Use a modified font perhaps that the windows update is overriding that is causing the issue?

Anyone have any tips as to what may be going on? HELP

Does it happen without the mod? If so, then the update changed your computer's font list somehow. IIRC the game does have its own font. You may have to verify the game installation or perhaps even reinstall to fix it (always good things to try anyways).

Its sort of both mods and regular

The regular game plays fine.. but the in game font has changed.. and mods no longer function at all .. so i suspect the change is linked and is the reason why.

Have reinstalled and did a verification/validation after and before

Its really odd as i have never encountered an issue where a windows update has messed up things

Generally pretty tech savvy and self sufficient on resolving things and this one has me stumped..
