How i long to experience detachment!
Detachment is about acting instead of reacting. Reacting involves doing and saying things that you feel sorry for after they happen. Reacting to feelings can make you do awful mistakes.
Detachment lets you experience your feelings. And then think them through.
It's hard to explain. Let's take an example. Someone scratches your brand new car. Your first feeling is anger. You're furious someone didnt show any care for your property, something you worked hard to obtain. Reaction you swear at the author of the scratch. Detachment lets you experience your anger. Then think of the solutions.
I tend to react way too much. I'm trying to be more serene in my actions and my words.
I guess i'm just trying to grow up.
