music soundtrack

i would prefer a middle eastern sound, similar to the Black Hawk Down score but with more heavy tribal drums. that would pwn my ears.

I actually prefer babylon 5 like music. In the show you notice the during battle the drums will actually sync up to heavy weapons fire...

Also, some areas of just soft music to give the player a sense of space(how small they are, a sense of exploration)...like the beginning of homeworld I and parts of babylon 5 and wing commander III or IV music!!

Except for the first track in homeworld I, I didn't like repetitveness and simplistic sounds of the rest of the tracts. Basically, make the music like you would for a movie or tv show! Music must have layers.

Or just make it easy, like a folder where players can drop in whatever music they want to hear. I could drop battle music into battle music folder, or exploratory music into exploratory folder etc...

or that music in the background of the science video I just watched...

It has to sound spacey, yet battle like at the same time. I hope there is diffrent music for diffrent parts of the game, and more than 3 or 4 diffrent tracks make it a sound dozen for each race and ill be happy.

Techno works 89% of the time.

I liked Babylon 5 soundtrack also, and the new Battle Star music is good too. Though what ever music you guys choose, Im sure I'll be happy about it.

As long as it fits, dont do something that wont fit into the goals, ideals, and attitude of each race.
