Actually, I was pretty disapointed by the beta. I might not be getting it...Only thing I really liked was the zoom. That was amazing!

it requires a lot of power to run that game... i am not purchasing until i have my new comp to run it which is a couple of months away

After playing the beta for 4 weeks, I too am not too happy with the game, it just seems to chaotic, and I don't feel attached to my units, as most of them you have to build 100-200-900 of , lol...

Maybe they made it too BIG?

I will wait awhile and prolly get this when its on sale. 29.99 would be an ok price for this game.

It DOES require a workhorse of a PC...

I predicted taht would be a problem.
taking into account other people's responses, I think they rushed something on way too broad a scale.
I'm assuming balance will shortly become an issue.

I think the game beta has gone very well in terms of balancing the game. Many improvements in the .52 and its no suprise that its gone gold.

One thing I have to say is that it does feel very chaotic with too much to do , but after awhile you will adapt and learn how to manage everything at once. TA was the same way. I think supcom will be too

if you use your small thingamajigs the right way, they sure can kill bigger thingamajigs

yeah, i belive the balance is about to be there.
Theres a rumor, that says, there will be a new patch within today or tomorrow, that will fix alot of the known problems, like slowdown after 20min. and the beloved word "optimization"

Atm , ive got a single core 3200xp 2.2ghz with 1gb ram . Its running supcom okay , but its armed with a X850XT PE , which isnt too shabby, Heopfully they will make the graphics card work harder

I am getting this game, sometimes you look at a game and think, yes!! It just looks like it could be a fun blast and I would enjoy despite any issues.

At worst, it'll be a nice filler between now and Sins, at best, we'll all be eating humble pie.

But it does make for spectacular battles (which are chaotic in real life) and a extra depth of realism, some strategy games, such as Empire: Dawn of the Modern World, have you ordering units in ones, with a single batch consisting of roughly 16-24, that's not how it is! Governments DO order units in the hundreds or thousands!

Nukes, hate 'em in real life, but god there is a twinge of excitement at the prospect of nuking my enemy into a cloud.

But thats only for beta, they always set the specs higher then normal, since they know it aint optimized.

yeah its a shame they havent thought about it. Its the way all medie is going. I made a poll at there forum, and it seems that the majority(70%) that voted, seems to like the idea.
But theres still a month till release, so maybe it will change? "crossing fingers"

well, there's one good thing about supcom. We europeans get it early for a change. (as in, we don't have to wait for months after release)

and as long as they made it work for 2 dualcores i'm happy. The beta now loads one cpu to 99% and the other to a whopping 4.3% --> choppyness

also, it's not likely that you've never seen a BSG episode if you're on these boards.

I heard it was pretty shoddy (bad) in Game Informer.

no...it's actually pretty good.....the campaign gets repetitive but the skirmishes and skirmish maps are pretty cool.....81km x 81km....3 maps are that size.......way to big though.
