Sorry, but if I'm not playing I'm thinking and if I'm thinking I come up with lots of scenarios.   

I think we've been pretty consistent in stating the beta would be winter 2006 and then refining as we've progressed. As I've stated before, we are not going to rush this beta to meet some artificial deadline people think we should meet. It will be released when we are satisfied that it will represent Sins in a good way and meet our beta testing goals. While we know that people are getting antsy over it, I think the majority would agree that they want the best game possible and not something rushed and incomplete.   

I definately agree with you Yarlen but good lord, lets get this beta on the road baby! I've been following this game forever and Im ready to get my feet wet with some galactic butt kicking.

Great job Yarlen at both being vague and informative. But you have to understand that we know you want Sins to be the best it can be, but it can't be that without the communities involvement in the beta process. The whole idea of a beta is to allow outside influence to improve upon a product. Their is only one game that I know of that the producers waited to release it until it represented itself in a good way in their minds. That game is called Space Empires V, and its one of the most bugged games in the world. We understand you want the product to be perfect, but allow us to help. Because we want it to be perfect too.

It takes talent.

There will be more news in the coming week. Releasing the beta before it's ready serves no purpose.

Sheesh guys, I've said it before and I'll say it again: It'll be out when it's out. Relax. They know what they're doing.

I don't mind the beta being out 'when it's ready'. I just think you should ever give a rough date when you want to take that sort of philosophy. As soon as you said winter 2006, it's caused this hysteria.

A normal Campaign?
Customizable campaign?
A Single player "level" (one battle or very limited gameplay)?
Multiplayer?
like a demo?
really close to the complete game.

Also in regards to the beta release date, it was mentioned many times it will be out Winter 2007.... what just made me sad is Winter 2007 lasts until March 21st...

That happens to me all the time - I mean sometimes I can't remember how to add 37 and 52 but it never stops me from doing my damn matrices... sigh! Thankfully graduated from college so I'll never have to deal with that again. (unless I decide to continue my education)
