I'm about to turn 29 - for the 4th time
MOO3? MOO3 desperately tried to become the mother of all 4x strategy games by adding unfthomable depths of complexity to it, all in a most unfriendly, unintuitive, click-intensive user interface. Then, seemingly as an afterthought, they must have realized that no sane human being could possibly enjoy it, so they added planetary governors to handle *everything* leaving you feeling less like an aeon-spanning omniscient deity and more like a general. Then, maybe they realized that no sane human would enjoy that, either, but at least this way they would not *create* any new insane people. Granted, that is a small improvement

The bottom line is that both MOO1 and MOO2 (in particular) were complete successes, and have gone down in the annals of strategy gaming as true classics, alongside such illustrious titles as Civilization. MOO3 doesn't even belong in their company.
GalCiv on the other hand! Wheeeee! It will be mentioned in the same breath as MOO2 - the MOO3 that should have been! GalCiv is destined to become a classic as it is. The only thing missing is a multiplayer option. I know lots of people who have no qualms about spending 6 times 8 hours playing turn based strategy on the net, like in Civ2 or Civ3:PtW - so why not GalCiv? It shouldn't be a big problem to implement, after all. I hope it is added at some point once the devs have the time for it. Oh, and if you do that, devs, *please* don't use GameSpy. It is Evil!

Oh dear.... I seem to be ranting. I'll just go now
