MiniDump

email sent

OK with the new patch I keep getting a crash that is repeatable 100% I would attack it to this post but we cant UL - sad. I will email it to [email protected]

The file name default has this in all of them: v1.04.06.10.12

I would include my save game as well but I cant seem to find it. The crash happens with in 3 minutes of the save.

v04.06.10.12

where did you find that version?

you sure you got the latest patch called 0.62[b].010?

It is the number the mini dump named the file. I just removed the brackets.

Come to think of it the 04.06 is likely the date -duh! I dont know about the 10.12 however.

BTW I found the save files. Strangely they are hidden in some new user "roaming" directory in Vista. I have UL it to one of my domains. This is the Link

BTW: If anyone else needs a place to UL files to you are more then welcome to use my domain. I pay for some major bandwidth every month but never use it.

I get this error as well with the new patch as of 8/30/07. My minidump occurs after the game has been running for a prolonged period, say an hour or so. then my whole comp freezes and i have to use the task manager to stop sins. I am using win xp. Unfortunately I can't send the info to ironclad because the comp freezes so bad i can't access the minidump window and when i force quit sins, the minidump window closes too.

The dump is stored in the minidump folder. Spartan, I downloaded your file and we'll look at it shortly.

I'm talking about:

That just seems... odd to me. If he'd said "I'm going to go download and we'll look at it" I'd have bought that, but being able to find a (what, 6 month old?) file on the server seems extremely strange -- if nothing else, I'd have expected the "housekeeping" routines to have kicked in by now! (And I'd sincerely hope that they'd have dug the file up a long time ago, too!)

You're right. I just skimmed over his message and didn't really get it on the first one.

I mean, I couldn't even find a file that I've saved myself on my pc half a year ago, finding something somebody sent me which I didn't look at, well, I wouldn't even know where to look.

Well, I'd expect he downloaded it just as he was reading the thread, before replying, not six months ago (well, maybe he did then and dealt with it, but never replied to the thread and forgot it).

Personally, I'm putting it down to a simple case of "I hit send/recieve on my e-mail account, so its sitting there waiting for me to download" assumption. You know why you never assume, right?
