AI priority

Setting was on easy *stop snickering* and I sent my fleet in on the last bastion of the enemy. What did they build why my ships were tearing through their defenses… colonizers.

Even on easy it should have built atleast something that fought back.

It must have decided it was time to leave its happy home as a bad element has moved into neighborhood!

Perhaps there should be a way of manually setting priority like in Pacific Storm.

@Chip - I have already suggested that to the devs. However they have provided any direct feedback to the community on the topic that I'm aware of at this moment. I hope they will allow us such a degree of control over the AI system.

Good. I'm just glad I am not the only one who thought that and yes, I know I am behind the times.

Yeah. I would like to be able to program AI personalities and add them to a database of sorts so I can assign them to different AI players. Hell if the system is powerful enough we can trade AI bots on the forums.

Iremember on Red Faction 2 the you could customize every bit of the bots to make them harder smarter ect ect the more often you fought against them. That kind of system would be great for this game.

Lets hope the developers think the same as us.

A little more sotisphicated then that though, the resource transport priority is rarely done right in PS.

Dark Avatar ... or is it the last patch for Dread Lord added this function so let's hope it's not a new thing to Stardock (although they're the publisher in this case). It's great to have different AI archetypes, for me it's not to customize them for my liking, but rather to have a random change over a range of variety. One of the problem with a single AI archetype is that no matter how good it is, it becomes genetic and scripted like after a while, a random personality keeps thing ... interesting.
