Battle suggestions

Now before you say they are fun enough i agree however these are just some of my ideas that could be used to make them a little more involved possibly. I just want to to see what everyone else thought of these ideas that i just came up with so here you go.

1. Make it possible for ships auto cannons and lasers to miss maybe not that big a percent chance but enough to make the targeting ability a little more valuable.
2. Make bombs released from bombers and possible from the other ships as well interceptable by either normal fighters and or Garda flak frigates. that way Gardas don't become nearly so obsolete and more people will be encouraged to use Flak frigs and fighters instead of the Kol's special ability.
3. i remember this was brought up in the begining of the beta but i don't think there was ever a definitive answer, but please make the ships move during battles maybe not all the time but enough so the battles take on a cinematic feel and involve the person more. It would also lessen the tedium of some battles as you could get some really cool shots of ships circling, strafing, etc. while blasting each other to bits. (Note on points 1-3 if they already are or planned sorry for wasting your time so far)
4. Now my final suggestion I'm sure many at this point are glad it will be over soon since it's so long. Make it so weapons and engines can be taken off line. I hate having my or the enemy ships belching fire and me sitter there wondering how in the world that engine or weapon is still functioning. But i would suggest only allowing weapon and engines disabilitation (real word?) on the cap ships and only when their shields are down however this is kinda where i would like some feedback on this one which is would it be better to have all weapons being able to be disabled or just the big weapons like the 3 side guns on the kol or the lasers on the kol. So again sorry for the long post and so late    but please give me feedback any and all is welcome and will be considered thanks for taking the time to read this.

1. You talking randomness and it has already been suggested.It is always good to have anther person in the camp however.
2. It is a nice idea. I think it has also been suggested as well.
3. I have to agree. It would look much better for larger engagements. I do see this sometimes however; especially when a ship was already in route for something and suddenly finds itself in combat.
4. A critical hits systems addresses this point well and has already been suggested.

@Aro - No stress brother. In fact after rereading several posts related to the bombers just to verify for myself your second idea is in fact original and a serious gold nugget to be sure.

I guess in my tired state-of-mind at the time of posting I remembered incorrectly. So please dont consider your effort to contribute wasted.

In fact I would go as far as to say it is the best idea proposed all week. This is so because it has far reaching consequences on the total tactical game dynamic. It is ideas of this nature that make processes such as this one very fruitful for all concerned parties.

Yea i was playing the game really late last night and i remembered how some people were complaining about not enough tactical diversity so i came up with those ideas to make combat more involving. So it's good to know that some of it's original.

it never hurts to reiterate some suggestions.
1. Good idea and also have the percentage affected by experience or tech level.
2. I would say that it should be based on the size of the bomb.
3. It does look funny for 2 ships to stop dead and take pot shots at each other. I think that was my first writeup. Ships should move maybe like in Starfleet Command or Nexus.
4. Excellent point. Again certain ships (esp the larger ones) should be able to be disabled. Again maybe like Nexus or Starfleet Command.

Yea chip those are the details i didn't go into about my ideas becuase i thought it was too long already but yes those are some things that would have to go along with the ideas. also thanks for the feedback.

About #2, I like it... but then again I would hate for my frigs to spend all of their time shooting down bombs rather than their source. You know what they say, "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." In this case it would mean that you are probably better off shooting down bombers so that they can't shoot any more bombs at you.

But it is an interesting idea. Perhaps a happy medium can be found.

Yea that's the tricky part as you don't want them to shoot only bombs because people will complain about bombers not being shot down. Maybe it could be any bombs being shot at the ship would move up to target priority one as i know i would rather shoot a bomb coming at me than the bomber that launched it, especially since i could just shoot the bomber down later.

If a priority targeting system gets enabled and if there is a range subsystem then there should be no issues.
