Fighters do not fight!!!!

Fighters are pretty much obsolete because they follow their targets but do not atack.
I am refering only to bombers and other fighters.Fighters don't atack other fighters.
I played another 3 games just to be sure.So...
Fighters atack only frigs and capitals. So....we don't have any fighter protection.The only way is to buid a lot of flak frigs or to use the Kol's flak power.

Tihs is a major flaw in this game ,'cause if u are atacked by a swarm of bombers... u're dead in principle.I have nothing against flak frigs...but they are atacked first and die almost instantly in huge battles (about 140 ships in total).

Give to the capitals flak protection pls.They don't have any balls for now:((.

I've also experienced the "Interceptor" fighters not favoring enemy bombers as first targets. I'd like to see that fix as well as some limited flak abilities on all capitals (common sense).

Not favoring is one thing...but not attacking at all, even when you manualy give them orders to attack is another piece of pie!!!

I think all ships do have at least 1 AA battery...

U think wrong.Sry but i tried everything.If the ships really have an AA battery, it must mean that they ran out of ammo from the moment u click "New Game".
Only frigs fire at fighters, i think i've said that...

I always see the Carrier fire off what looks like AA fire...

yeah but......it fires at bombers/fighters...??? cause AA fire looks alot like autocannon fire/laser fire...depends how zoomed in u really are.
I, for one...stared at ten capital from every tipe and saw the bombers fly unharmed.And no AA fire also...

Fighters do attack automatically and manually - I just tested it. IC fixed it in last week's hotfix. Perhaps you haven't updated?

Man...pls read everything....i dind't say fighters don't attack, i said that fighters do not attack other fighters/bombers.And that is true....i've tryed 5 games just to be sure.I have also the last update.

Hmm, we can't seem to recreate this internally. Fighters are indeed attacking other fighters both automatically and manually and they also rip up bombers. Are you absolutely positive you have the latest hotfix? Would you mind sending us something to help track it down? If so, please send the sinsofasolarempire.exe to [email protected] and we'll take a look at it asap.

Kzeanu - From what we were sent, it appears that you are using an outdated version of the game. The latest version fixes this issue and can be obtained through Stardock Central for registered pre-order customers.
