Invincible Pirates or am i simply crazy?

I downloaded the newest beta (0.76.017) and after starting a game, i sent a fleet to a nearby asteroid. While my fleet was ordered to attack the pirates, i sent my colony ship to colonize the asteroid, which it did. After a minute or two, i realized that while my ships were shooting at the pirates, neither their shields nor their hull strength was going down.

Am I crazy or is this a bug?

That was strange. I reloaded the game and everything is working properly now.

Hmmm, I guess i have to wait and see whether i can reproduce this behavior again.

I just got the beta today. In the tutorial where you have to kill off the pirates my ships destroyed them. However when I started a game and sent a small fleet to a world that has pirates my ships would not shoot at them. Likewise they did not shoot at me however when I colonized the world the pirate pillager started to attack the planet. And I could not get my ships to attack the pirate ship.

Thanks SunofVich!
As far as we know this has been fixed - sounds related to another case. We'll get you to test when the next hotfix goes out.

I had this problem as well. First time I played I couldn't damage anything. My planet got attacked and destory by some pirates. Second time it seemed to worked like it should.

Only difference between the two seems to be I played the tutorials in the first session.

Same here, I just restarted the game and my fleet engaged the pirates after the jump. And they started attacking me as well so I take it it is now working as intended.
