Screenshots location?

So, I have worked out the hidden folder issue, and now the Ironclad folder is available in username\AppData\Local.

Unfortunately now there is no Screenshot folder. (Yes - I have taken several screenshots.)

Screenshots should not be this much of a pain.

To display hidden files and folders in XP:
1. Open Folder Options in Control Panel.

2. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

3. Click Appearance and Themes, and then click Folder Options.

4. On the View tab, under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.

Seconded. There is no screenshot folder in which the pictures taken could appear. I tried several times, the game stops (like it's saving the screenshot) but the doesn't appear in any of the Sins folders.

I think there is something wrong with the screenshot feature in 1.02.
The screenshot worked on 1.01 , but on 1.02 it doesn't. It even dont show me the path and filename which it got saved.It just clips the screenshot and I had to open a photoshop to paste the screenshot and save it.

There's definitely something wrong. I just spent 20 minutes taking screenshots of my amazing battle and they're not there. I ran various searches in Vista and even downloaded Google's Picasa2 just to make sure.

Yup, this is definitely an issue. Not sure if it's Vista-specific.

I run Vista x64 Ultimate edition and no screenshots are ever created. I assume Ironclad/Stardock are aware of this issue, but if not it should be put into the 1.03 patch if practical.

Some Vista users have reported that the screenshot function won't work with the default printscrn keybinding, but setting it to a different key will allow it to work.

I have to preface that while the "printscrn" button showed no indications that a screenshot was being taken in Vista, a different key did. However, my screenshots are still not showing up.

Hey when I plug in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire in the url box and it says the folder dose not exist i also put show hidden folders on any suggestions? It says like make sure the path or the internet address is correct.

this is the CORRECT path on vista..

you also have to bild the key to a differennt key other than PrintScrn

C:\Users\**your user name**\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\

Tried in 1.03 and 1.04;

I followed the path to the directory written in the screenshot message (and where screens from the beta were), meaning
"C:\Documents and Settings\*username*\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\ScreenShot"

The names of screenshots are numerated and the counter does change, but screens are not there. I also searched the discs for ALL bmp files and they are definitely nowhere to be found.

why in world are screenies burried stardock? seems like another 5min min of coding and 5min of testing could have put the pics in the users My Pictures dir.

Just FYI there are a lot of screnshot programs (one being FSScreen) that makes saving screenshots a snap!

You should ask the distant stars people in the distant stars thread, as this is clearly a mod issue and they are the only ones who may be able to help you. They may have done that intentionally to save a little bit of memory.

There are absolutely NO ISSUES!

Set the Administrative rights for the "Sins of a Solar Empire.exe"

In the properties, compatibility tab.

Or, try launching the "Sins of a Solar Empire.exe" or the "Sins_Launcher.exe" directly using the right click "run as" command.
