Interface issue: Allied colors shouldn't match yours.

...where are my ships!?

Just a little annoyance I figured I'd throw here in hopes of getting it changed.

Unless I'm missing an option somewhere, the only icon colors that are displayed on the map are red for enemy, green for you/allies. The enemy being all one color is fine, but allies having the same color as you is a bit annoying -- it's difficult to find your own ships without band-boxing the grav well and sorting through them. I think having the allies either be a separate color would be preferable, so we can see our ships, our allied ships, and our enemies at a glance.

... I actually have different colors for each person, related to their personal "flag" color. I think there may be something in options you need to dig out... ?

Wow... dunno how I missed that. Yep -- disabling "show team colors" fixed that right up. Thanks.

although there should still be different colors for allies and self when playing with team colors on.

Nice find! We already have ally colors setup (you can see the entry in your .colors file under MinAllianceFriendly, MaxAllianceFriendly). Unfortunately there was a bug in code that used the wrong colors. This has been fixed.

Infocards will also respect this setting as well. For example the breakdown on groups of ships won't be in the player's actual color anymore, but instead use the alliance color.

Spish thats great but could we get a different pip bar around the planet for allies, it gets kind of annoying when you or your ally have so many more ships than the other that the planet doesn't even show the other player as having ships there.

Hmmm, we will have to think about how to handle that one. I agree it could be a problem. Thanks for the feedback!

I was thinking something like putting another bar at the top of the planet for allies ships. Also the names of planets need to be moved down, atm the name blocks viewing of the structures pip bar making it so that we can't tell how many structures a planet has just by looking.
