I don't know if any of you guys are a fan of the mini's genera. Did anyone here ever play games workshops short lived Battlefleet Gothic.

That game was pretty fun.

Some of the stuff I liked from there.

1. Massive torpedoes

Were talking about ship killers that you had to move the ship out of the way from and could use to move other guys ships out of areas that you wanted to go into.

2. Boarding action

You could fire "boarding torpedoes" and basically take over a ship or failing at that sabotage large sections of it.

3. Ramming / Fire Ships

Some ships could ram it was pretty sweet some could also function like a big torpedo.... that was awesome.

4. The ships had sections you could knock out an engine ... that was pretty cool.

5. Ships could really blow up

As in they would implode and take down anyone who happened to be near them that was pretty awesome.

6. Some ships as i recall could use gravitic and solar wind effects

as soon as i get a computer that can handle the importation process i'll try to get the remaining models for chaos done to some degree... or someone could do it for me...

by the looks the computer will show up on monday if they get the parts in this week... not likley to get here by friday.X(

9800? Wow, I thought the 8800 was as big as it got. Ahh well then. I cant go higher than a 7600 because I would need a new power supply (my current one cant support a 8800 :( ) And @ Prezo: Why are you doing exams now? Mine arnt for a few weeks yet.... make that a few months. Ive got aaaggeeess lol. And yes, passing my TEE's would be nice....

There's higher end cards than the 9800 by both Nvidia and ATI :P

 

Anyways Kiernyc and I got Assault on Black Reach. So far I've made my Dreadnaught, Captain, and a Space Marine. Kiernyc has made his Warboss. He's going to paint on of his teeth pink and he's going to be "Pink Toof." His army scheme is going to be called "Pink Sissies." I'm going to paint my guys Blood Angels (I might paint a squad Flesh Tearers or Blood Swords). Problem with that though is that it didn't come with Blood Angels decals (but it came with some, including Crimson Fists... who have one character model...). Anyways, I'll take in focus pictures (far-ish away) and upload them later.

and all you need is a dx9 compatable card as mine isnt.

and chang. the card that died on mine was a 7600 agp =P and we are doing our tests now because the wankers like amking us do 3 sets of examsthis year. we do our half yearlies our trial school certificate and the the SC itself. also i'm in NSW so they like to screw shit around per state

Unfortunate mate, we only have to do two sets. Done my first back during second term.... My next set is somewhere in fourth term. What year/courses are you doing BTW? Im yr 11 physics, Foundations of Math, Biology, 2A-2B English and Tech Graphics.

Aussie all the way! And unlucky to you, when I was in yr 10, we only had to do one mock exam at the end of the year, to prep us for yr 11 exams. It didnt help in the slightest lol. I actually enjoy the exam weeks (as weird as that sounds) Because i only have to do 4 exams, and they are spread out over two weeks, so ive got heaps of time in between to study/catch up with my mates/ relax. During school days, I walk to school and study with my friends in a spare classroom, and we walk over to maccas and brung food back to eat in front of all the pitiful little yr 8's lol. Haha woops, Ive derailed the thread pretty bad. Sorry guys!

Maybe I can help get it back on track by mentioning the game i recently had with a friend. I was Chaos, and he was IN, and it was a blockade run. In the end, he won by a measly 70 VP, but it was still the most fun game I had played to date. The highlight was when his floatilla of blockade-running ships tried to race through a weak point in my blockade, suffering the loss of his Dauntless 'Achillies'. The hulk drifted about aimlessly, until I realised that he was going to slip through, so I made the desperate decision to shoot at the hulk, even though my crippled Hades 'Rape of Virtue' was right next to it. It was very successful, the hulk exploding under a plasma drive overload, engulfing a good 80% of his fleet in one go, and my Hades made it out with only one sheild down. Was a very memorable moment of my BFG life, I cant wait until next game! Nah, no problem on the derailment. I'm working crazy hard on school till the end of this weekend, but then I'll be back and ready to do some work (other than the crysis I intend to play when I get my desktop back). I can't wait till prezo gets his new desktop, then we can really get back to work and (hopefully) get a public version out soon.

Lol you have got LOTS too look forward too in year eleven. You know those things that you call weekends? Yeah, they dont exist in yr 11. Its saturday night for me right now, and I have two math assignments, an essay, two physics write ups and a physics assignment, an english talk to write and five tests to study for for next week, two of them on Monday. On top of all that, I need to re-read and study EVERYTHING we have learnt for EVERY subject since the start of the year, in preperation for the upcoming exams. And thats a realativly quiet week for me. Dont get me started when you have assignments for every subject. Kiss your weekends, and even your holidays, good bye.

Sorry mate, got carried away there, Im just ranting about my annoyance at not having a life anymore lol. I dont have time to eat let alone play games >< And I keep getting distracted from my work, Im writing this post up arent I? >< Damn. And to think, its gonna be worse in yr 12, and I dont look forward to post-school life ><

it is kinda the same we just call em years instead of grades... actualy some parts of australia do call them grades... and some parts have weird versions of kindy...

and yea i know what you mean with the revision i have to revise everything i have ever done in maths and anything done in the last 2 years for science... oh and do 2 exams in the time they usuay give us for one

hmm our teachers aint that bad with the assesments. most of my friends are in yr11/12 and they still have weekends... but then again i work so i dont get weekends sometimes anyway

In all technicallities in high school (Grades 9-12) they're called freshmen, sophomore, junior, and senior year instead of 9-12.

we start high school at year 7 so that wouldent work =P but generaly years 11-12 are called seniors and atm its not compulsory to do those years. thats changing verry soon tho i think
