Soundtrack

What's the soundtrack of the game going to be? Is it going to be full orchestra classical (Homeworld, fantasy movies, etc), techno, rock, or rap?

Personally I'm hoping for a full orchestra instrumental classical. I think that fits the games the best (it did wonders in Homeworld )

the total war series has always done really well with the music, classical or their own kind of drum bangin stuff, but always right on cue with what ever is going on in the battle, u order ur first attack command and the music goes "BAM" into sum "things just got real" kinda way. lol. So far the music seems to be on a good path the way it is IMO

So it's going to be epic classical. Cool ok.

Yeah im a total war fan and right when you hear that "CLANK" sound of sending a unit to charge tells you "yo, some shit is about to go down."

I think they shound have a mix of mystical kind of music (because of the awesome views you see when you zoom out) but have kind of MechWarrier music (drums, base, trumpets, kind of a jumpy attitude) occaisionally for battles or just to keep you on your toes. I hope it ain't like starcraft with wierd ass instruments or disgusting zerg sounds.

I was hoping for RAP...

if it was rap, i would turn my music off
What we have now is good, but i wonder what else we are going to hear

You guys know there's like, a billion songs in the sound folder?

Like, a billion we never heard before in the game.

I thought battle3 was kind was weird, probably because of the breathing thing. So far battle 4 sounds awesome though.

O, and Sith is just another way to spell *Blair would edit this word*

Most of all the quiet series and two battle tracks are what I've gone through. I love the quiet ones. Except 3, it's the damned voice synthesizer again.

You'll find out when you hear it

Heheh, actually i never heard one soundtrack from the game. I turned off music and played my own songs (i do that with every game). It was the first thing I did becuase Interpol came out with a new CD.

I heard some of the music and I'm slightly disappointed. I was hoping the music would be Hegemonia's caliber

As for rap......I'll just delete the entire music folder

Weird, but battle 3 is actually my fave of the 'battle' series, simply because it's very unique.

And hey, looking through the Sound dir, we hear what the advisors for the other 2 races sound like.

I'd like to thank the composer of the soundtrack. It's quite good. I mean it's not the best I've ever heard, but it's pretty good

Will there be any slightly more militaristic scores? For example, Star Wars had the Imperial March, Red Alert had a sound track that I believe was called H-bleep-'s March, and Conquest: Frontier Wars had many soundtracks that illistrate what I mean. The current score is most impressive, but I just would like a few combat tracks that sound louder and prouder, which would demonstrate a sense of military power and greatness. Currently, the combat music demonstrates a sense of urgency, and does it quite well (a round of applause for the composers  ). It doesn't even have to be played during combat necessarily. It could be played upon the taking over and colonizing of an enemy planet (in this sense, it could probably be fairly short). Just a thought...

I don't know, I've only seen Multi's gameplay vids and I still catch myself humming the Sins theme tune, a good sign...
