I'm missing something here?

Okay, I have nuked the enemy planet, all population and infrastructure is gone. It is a dead asteroid. I do not seem to be able to colonize or do anything with it. It shows it is my planet. I rebuilt the infrastructure to 100%. My blue line has reached it. I have attempted to colonize and can not. There is no enemy ship or allie in the system, just my ships.

Is there a certain amount of loyalty or culture I need? If so how much? Can it be recolonized somehow or when do the people show back up? I am unable to build logistical structures.

I am sure I am missing something?

oh, is there a "pause button", I thought there was going to be a pause button?

Thank you for any assistence.

That is wierd...

You can pause the game by hiting the pause/break key at the top of your keyboard.

How did you do that without colonizing it?

FYI, but dead asteroids can't be used for logistical or population purposes.

It was occupied by the enemy with a population of 20. I think I still have some tactical slots available, but no population. Is it possible I killed it in the bombardment?

This all sounds like a glith (unless you need to actually send a colony ship to populate the planet, but you can build infrustructure without people)

It sounds more like you killed the planet, and a ship auto-colonized it for you. Be aware that dead asteroids always have 0 logistics and population -- they are military outposts, and nothing more.

Yep, it sounds like it was already autocolonized by one of your ships after you bombed it. As noted by others, you don't get any population or logistics slots at all on a dead asteroid.

Thanks Kyro, if I can find the auto save I will email it as I beleive the ai had colonized it to a pop of 20 before I got there. I could be mistaken though since it was my first game.

You might have been looking at a different asteroid at that point, then (regular non-dead asteroids can have a small amount of population).
