Game Freezing up after loading saved games

I have the save games if you are interested. The game does not freeze up immediatley after loading, after a few minutes you can only move your cursor but no commands and you are not able to exit.

Thanks for the report Harvey  We've fixed this problem and we'll issue a fix as soon as we've tracked down the bug that people are reporting regarding zooming in on a retreating force.

I was going to create a post about this tonight myself. I have a great game going and had turned off the auto save since the saves appeared to be comming so quickly. The reality is likely I was not guaging the elapsed time properly. Now this saved game freezes my computer. I have tried it on two computers and it freezes both.

...all those memories will be lost in time, .....like tears in the rain

Since saves aren't patch-compatible... supposedly, at least... I doubt your old ones will be saved.
