Game froze and laged tremendously minidump failed

When i got the beta a few days ago it was working just great, it was not lagging at all. Yesterday the game would seem to "buffer" a little and lag while it did that then be working just fine until I exited. This "buffer" would only last about 6 to 10 seconds.
I opened the game today about 3 minutes ago and opened my saved game, and then clicked the invert y camera control, now when i push the mouse forward it would rotate differently than before, obviously. But Then the game became incredibly laggy and ended up frozen after 1 minute of extreme lag where I could not select ships or anything, only rotate the view after a few seconds of lag. Then i was trying to minimize the window until it finally minimized itself and gave me this MiniDump Failed failed to save dump file. ('a device attached to the system is not functioning')

if you want to me send a log file, just tell me where to look. I am going to try to change that option back to the default of not "invert y camera control" or whatever the exact wording was.
