Alt-Tab Performance

I have a dual monitor setup, and I have to immediately thank you for caging the mouse to the active monitor. So many devs forget to do this, and I have to use external applications to get it locked!

However, I must complain that alt-tabbing to check my email shrinks the game application to the taskbar. It's still running, I can hear my combat sounds and little radio calls coming out of my speakers, but I'm blind to the action! Argh!

I must also complain that the game doesn't give up the single-monitor mouse lock even when minimized. I can get around this by shrinking/expanding a window I have on my second monitor; it seems to unlock the mouse for some reason. But if I have no other windows open but the game, there is no way for me to go clicking over there!

COMPLAINTS ABOUT WINDOWED MODE NOW:

- Mouse doesn't lock to the window, yet it will continue scrolling the map if I move my mouse off the screen

- You can't alter the resolution

You can't alter the resolution

umm, just resize the window ? and you can set default windowed mode size in the options area...

Scrolling the map is good and bad. Ideally, a scroll pad area that it did so in would be perfect. If you just remove scrolling when not focused, it becomes a pain in the ass to scroll while in windowed mode, having to balance on the edges.

I don't quite understand what you're saying...

My biggest complaint is if I move the mouse outside of the window and start clicking on browsers or what have you, the game window continues scrolling. It's like it thinks I left the mouse balanced on the edge of the screen, which I didn't.

If you disabled scrolling when the window loses focus, *AND* you lock the mouse to the window (unlockable by hitting alt-tab, as other games do) then you don't have to worry about 'balancing' the mouse on the edge AND you won't get the random scroll annoyance.
