Tell you what Schod I at least will drop the arrogance baiting, if you can be a little more moderate,

and the two of you ought to know better than to qualify arguments by claiming to know professors and such who say X and Y.

1. We have no way to verify that you do. So its pointless you could say anything and whup you claim a authority told you so and so we must accept it? I think not.

2. Odd that neither of you make the claim that YOU are qualifying your answer, your not qualified but someone you know is... thats indirect and frankly not useful. While I cannot verify if your professor is qualified or even exists, if either of you claimed knowledge on the subject I would be more inclined to care because I could actually question you and expect an answer and then verify it with other well accepted sources...

3. Instead of bantering back and forth you could... oh I don't know... Cite something?

Citations... mmmm knowledge base of humanity.

Oh and Schod, I have to say you more or less convinced me with your view of it.. though the word time is very misleading.

Schod needs no citations, he is The Holy All Knowing One.

You dare doubt him? He is all knowing, so there is no point in doubting him.

Ever

Hmmm a Fair Point!

Long Live The Emperor for he is wise in the ways of Schod

Indeed I am, you would be wise to join him and become an All Knowing Apostel.

Warning, pact may include loss of soul, reputation, or being called an arrogan capatalistic fat head <3.

ok, just to save face then drop it... check out Scientific American: A Matter of Time, June 26, 2006 pg. 6 article "That Mysterious Flow." This article depicts what I’m trying to say 100x better then I could. The idea of the film strip cut up and stacked on top of each other came from that article. I get my info from sci. magazines and physics classes... I’m a 4th year Astro-physics undergrad at the Univ. of Cal. at Irvine. I do claim some knowledge but as (I think it was) Plato said, "The beginning to all knowledge is admitting we know nothing.” I like the idea he was trying to convey I say this not to brag or prove my point more but to save face. I don’t mind being wrong, but I don’t like looking unintelligent. I personally seek truth. I was simply trying to help shed light on a topic that interests me, and thought it interested you all as well. If any one would like to further discuss this or other physics related topics, let’s discuss them in a different thread. I would love to discuss these things that interest me, so long as were not arguing trying to prove personal points. That is retroactive to the pursuit of truth.

Now that's said, im done Let’s get back to Gas Giants

I know for certain that time is one full dimension on its own, einstein's equations apply if it wasnt.

WOW Great! i'll write the letter to Stockholm myself for your noble prize .

There are two great "everyday" powers that we don't understand time and gravity...

If only we could harnnes Gravity *drool*

If only we could harnnes Gravity *drool*

the only problem is that gravity has harnessed us.

Well we find out today if we get multi-planet systems, giant gravwells of super slowedness, and what the heck anomalies will do!

I'm stuck at work till 5, so please, please someone post what they do for me at 3! Oh and pictures... it can be a race, first one to post it gets Jupiter (second place is Saturn)

Umm...this thread went a tad off. Oh well, did anyone figure out the gas giant role yet?  Look closely in battle

its just another poxy thing I cannot colonise!!!!
Have not had a battle in a Gas Giant yet...

disappointed... nobody really thinks thats all that realistic for one.

Wanted moons. Nice G-Well though, happy its there...

At least put in non-colonizable moons!
agreed... at the minimum make some non-colonizable moons... But really im just glad we have them, and those cool plasma storms and magnetic clouds are cool too though its weird how a cloud has a grav well i know i know... not really a grav well, just a place you cant jump through...
