B3: Rally Points

Augh this is driving me nuts, I've had B3 a few minutes after StardockCentral found it and I've only managed to squeeze in 10 minutes of gameplay. I'll have a more in-depth review later. But for now;

OH GOD BRING BACK RIGHT-CLICK RALLYPOINTING

I see no reason for it to have dissappeared!

You used to be able to click on a planet, then right-click on another planet or (better yet) on a fleet icon in the empire-tree, and have your newly built ships automatically head there.

Now you have to manually click the rally point button!

For shame!!

Unless a future patch makes it possible for you to move planets via right-clicking I don't see the point of this change. PLEASE BE A BUG! D:

Removed due to numerous complaints that people were mistakenly setting rally points rotating the camera or trying to right click move units. Is there another way we could make it easier for you?

It was annoying as heck when you kept setting the points by accident when trying to cancel construction

Hopefully it was a temporary bug fix.

Eugh, dumbed down to the lowest common denominator then... harumph. I suppose best scenario would be a checkbox, disabled by default for those that can't control their clicking fingers?

I used the rally-point shortcut more than any other shortcut in the game; it really slows me down not having it. My interface now has added clicks, which any UI designer will tell you is horrible.

I also beleive *every other game in existance* with rallypoints also uses the default-right-click nature, all the way back to Westwood's Dune. I say the mis-clickers suck it up and deal.

A check box or something to get it back, I was wondering what happened to it as well and do miss it.

I'll gladly admit that I miss clicked occasionally for no reason, but I lived with it.

Hey now...

I liked it myself, but I found more than once that I'd be doing something else and hear the BUMP sound of a rally point setting. It's not at all hard to accidentally do.

You can still set it just as fast if you use the hotkey for the rally button, rather than clicking it.
