Brush State Errors

What the heck does this mean?

I had saved my game, exited SINS, and shut down my system.

I turned the system back on, fired up SDC and launched SINS.

And then nothing happened, well, nothing useful anyway.

Video switched modes, and then it just sat there. I hit the windows key, right clicked on the task bar, opened up Task Manager and killed SINS. I did this twice. On the third try I hiat Ctrl-Alt-Del and opened Task Manager from there. When I did that, I had a window which said:

Brush State (Pressed) TexturePixelBox is not within the Texture's Dimensions.

Brush: ActionGridSlotBackdropTech
TexturePixelBox: 3, 140, 53, 176
Texture: 0, 0, 0, 0

With buttons labled 'Skip,' 'Skip All', and 'Break'.

There were a large number of these, and I got bored hitting either 'Skip All' or 'Break,' so I eventually went back into Task Manager and killed SINS again.

Looks like my install got hosed somehow. Before I wipe it and re-install, anyone have any idea WTF happened?

Six files got blowed up:

Sound\Trouble1.ogg
Sound\Weapon_TechSupportMissileLight_Muzzle_Alt1.ogg
TextureAnimations\autocannon_blue.texanim
Textures\abilityguidance.dds
Textures\Buttons_Main_Normal.tga
Textures\PlanetVolcanic02-da.dds

This list was compiled by comparing a copy of the damaged install with a clean install using Beyond Compare (WWW Link). It's a shameless plug, but it's a great tool.

I tried renaming the files one at a time to see if I could replicate the error, but I couldn't exactly.

Shrug. This is probalby more my problem than Ironclad's.
