Couple things that are driving me nuts!

The constructor ships should be along the bottom of a planet were the planet items are and only fleet ships should be at the sides.

And is it possible for trade and refinery ships to go under said fleet bars on the side of planets, they keep interfering in seeing the fleets at planets, keep picking up trade ships when trying to see what ships are at different planets.

If you mean the icons when you're at medium zoom, try the option in the UI settings that hides them.

I think he's reffering to clicking on the left "side bar" around a planet...

Yes Ron, that's it.

The trade ships interfere with seeing fleets at planets.

I agree; at medium zoom you get those (O) brackets around your planet that show friendly/enemy fleets. In Beta 3 the sidebars didn't show construction frigates but in beta 4 they do.. can't see the reason for the change.

I don't have any trouble with tradeships though.

The brackets around the planet don't include trade/refinery ships. They do include construction ships, but that's it.

It's easy enough to notice, since at the sun when your trade ships are flying through you don't have a side bar, but fly one scout there and it will appear

Personally I don't see much need to include construction ships in the brackets around the planets (unless you include them on the bottom one maybe just so its easy to tell how many a planet has). I never click on a construction ship before building, clicking the planet is easier (it is bigger). I get a little annoyed when I click the friendly ships bracket and zoom in to position my fleet in the grav well...and the construction ships follow them (not in jumps though which is good). The problems with this is a) it removes my construction ships from my main building areas thus lengthening the time required to build a structure and b) I may be positioning my ships for the defense of a system and it places my construction ships within easier range of enemy ships (should they defeat my fleet). Both of these are rather minor but I just haven't seen any compensating advantages of selecting my construction ships with my military/colony ships when I click the left bracket.

Infact the construction ships serve no purpose now, they can just as well not show.

As we use the planet instead anyway.

I'm going to assume your talking about showing them in general, and not just in the pip...

A) Having them showing lets you re-arrange your build queues on the fly -- "I need that repair center now, the enemy is en route!" or "OK, I beat that fleet off, but they were aiming to bypass the system... build the PJI before the rest of the defenses in case he tries that again...". or even "OK, I don't need those mines as much as I need this one last research lab for

I didn't say they have to be removed, but they don't have to show on the system shipview ..

Altough that said...whats the point, while you say they can be moved around to change buildorders, you can change buildorders in what you want build first anyhow...

A quick delete and rebuild does that.

I guess some edge can be had by micro'ing them but seriously..I'd rather spend time microing my caps.

Not so quick, especially since it takes TIME for the logistics / tactical poitns to become available

I've been wondering about that, why does it take time to get the points available again? It's annoying and I can't see any purpose to it.

Ok, I know that trade ships are not in the pips on the side of planets. What is frustrating me is that they have a fairly large selection circle and when I put my mouse over the side bars to see my ships or enemy ships every time a trade ship goes by I get that instead and with lots of trade and refineries it gets difficult to see the fleets.

What zoom level are you at? There is an option to hide them entirely at the icon level, so that they're only visible (and thus clickable) when you're zoomed in enough to see the model.
