Known Bug* If you are deleting phaselanes and you happen to delete two phaselanes together , it messes up the phaselane order and you will get whack results.

Well, I've written mod tools for many games and so far very rarely do the dev tools compete with the community tools quality wise a few months after release. I'm not saying it's the case here but it's a good reason to not just give up on making tools.

Where I currently work at, the tools are just good enough to get the data in the game, that's it. User friendliness is not too high on the list. I've seen quite a couple of games where the devs just released their in house tools which just didn't get used because of their cryptic nature. For example, Gal Civ 1had a tool called mutil to import your own sprites in the game. There was *one* ship made with it I think in the history of galciv. It was the red ships for a race which I forget. When I released the editing suite that was super easy to use, you saw a flood of new ships coming in.

I'm not saying that their tools are going to be hard to use / bad tools. I'd be a fool to judge before even seeing them. I'm just saying statistically speaking chances are on the community side :).

And I've seen some where the released tools (quite simply put) were inferior to the "in house" tools for no good reason... So while making good tools is a good idea, at least map editing is doable without a tool, and not all that difficult.

Make sure the .galaxy map file is in your main Sins Galaxy folder and NOT your Application Data Sins folder.

Sounds like you forgot something when making the map. I think that has to do with not assigning players or something like that.
