AI doesnt upgrade ships

Maybe its a bad investment but it seems like a no brainer to me if you have the cash.

Just realised after looking at end game stats of a 10 player (9 AI) game and none of them spent any money on capital ship upgrades.

Now just looking at an AI wallet they seem to delplete thier funds before it ever hits higher than 1000 which would of course make it impossible to ever upgrade a capital past lv 2.

Just wondering if this is intended and that spending money on upgrading capitals is a bad idea or does the AI need some work here ?

the AI does not currently exist, it is just mimicked by a hamster running on a ferris wheel.

that said, there will be a major AI update somewhere in the "near" future.

We hope

The devs didn't have time to release the "updated" AI with the last patch, they were too busy with creating a basic AI for the Vasari race (which just got released). What your looking at is a placeholder, just enough to give us a singleplayer game that isn't soloplayer

I'm really looking forward to it as well -- maybe we'll get lucky next patch, but there is soooo much promised for that already... We really do need a beta 5 (release candidate beta? ) for all the stuff thats been promised.
