Synchronized ship jumps?

Hi All,

Is there a way to synchronize ship jumps? It would be great to select a fleet (from wherever they are in the system) and order it to jump to a location as a group. Otherwise you must micromanage them to make sure they are as close as possible to the potential jump points.

I think it would also be a good idea for fleets (if and when they are implemented).

Your thoughts?

If you select a group of ships and right click on the move icon (the green arrow pointing up) you can toggle between various 'stances'. There is one that will make all your selected ships jump out as a single fleet (3 arrows on the icon), though it usually takes extra time as they need to get in formation for the jump.

It doesn't really work well if you're trying to coordinate a fleet spread around several planets, though.

In general if you just select all your ships and move them as a group to the esdge of a grav well roughly facing the line you want them to travel wait till they all get there and the jump they will all jump within a few seconds of each other. Although on a couple of occations I've had a sync'd jump

Instructions for how to do this should be in the tutorial. Let me know if it's not there or broken

Yeah, this is a lot easier with Beta 4 since now we have a fairly big area in which ships can jump. In beta 3, you could only jump from the very edge of the grav well and you could never move all your ships there to jump even "almost" at once without toggling the order.

With Beta 4, I find myself using the "click the fleet to the middle of the zone, then jump as single" thing quite a bit. Most of the time the majority of the fleet jumps as one anyway, and the few that don't are only a few seconds ahead/behind where it doesn't matter. Still nice to leave them on the "jump as a group" order when you're just letting them fly a bunch of jumps on autopilot

The entire tutorial is borked, last I checked

Yes quite borkalicious. In fact, the tutorial is so whacked, I put off playing. Now I love the game and want to marry it.
