Copyright Question

I just downloaded the Sins beta to my desktop and I've really been enjoying it. I've been a pretty loyal Stardock customer for a while and I own all of the Galciv games and their expansions. One of the things I enjoy most about Stardock is their willingness to let me install their games on both my desktop and my laptop through my SDC account (I understand the rule of only playing the game on one machine at a time). Nevertheless, Sins is being produced in partnership with Ironclad, and so I'm not sure if this policy reamins the same. In short, do I have to buy a seperate copy for my laptop? This question may sound silly to some, but I have strong feelings about honoring copyrights, especially those of companies I respect as much as Stardock.

You can install and play game with one of your friends with the same key. Only 2 installs tho :)

Yep, each serial is good for two copies in LAN games. Though you do need a unique key for every player on ICO.

Now theres a policy I wish more publishers would adopt!

Awesome info, Thanks.

Thats why someone should help stardock and buy a game like sins.
Stardock is one of the last publisher who is wothy to support.

No. It means that if you have installed the game at more than two computers at once, you are technically breaking the EULA.

no, it means that you cant play sins on more than two computers for LAN at the same time, nor can you play sins multiplayer on more than one computer at the same time

Hunh. While it's not uncommon for this to be doable in games, actually having it outright okay-ed by the developers/publishers is another thing entirely. Kudos. I can almost guarantee I'll be able to get my brother (and cousin, after he sees a few games... though I think he's practically sold already) to buy it after a LAN game or five. ;D

By all means, have your friend over for a good night of killing AI players together over LAN - we encourage it :)

You can install Sins on as many computers as you own, but you can only run it on two PCs at the same time (to account for the LAN limit).
