I notice the AI runing away with its flagship much to early and I feel that it should move its flag with a better support fleet.
It just seems the AI dosnt know how to compose its fleet very well to me from where I stand granted its made a bit of stride since the last update, its still horrible in the face of a human opponent.
It calls primary(eve colloquial) poorly as well, often times opting to destroy support vessels while its single cap ship attempts to focus on another cap ship. If it were able to compose a group of support fire vessels (missile frigs) say X10, with another 10 frontline frigates, an better use of its flak frigates and primary target either support or capital assets of the AI's opponent it would go a long ways to making the games battles more intense, and naturaly would need a series of escalative fleet compositions to react with its newly researched technologies such as cruisers. So overal I feel like AI dosnt quite yet comprehend the difference between support fire and an assault fireline of expendable frigates, or focused primary tarted fire.
It also seems to lack the ability to create a multi pronged assault, such as what one mite do wtih a feignt sending in a skermishing force thats ultimately expendable into one system, streaming in lite reinforcements to make it appear as a full assault and then fully assault a different system if it has the routes available to do so, atleast that I havent noticed, or if the system recieving the feint is actualy succeeding with its light assault and bolstering it appropriately.
However I will say that when it wants to see a valuable cap ship of your own thats severely wounded it will stop at nothing to destroy it with everything it has aspecialy if its around level 7+.
Its system defenses are horribly subpar and hasnt caught on that using two repair projector arrays to mitigate damage across a longer period is often times more advantageous than only one as the primary array runs out of antimatter to dispense with repairs albeit fairly quickly, the second usualy is enough to buy time for the other to replenish its antimat pool a bit ones it runs out. So, not that its a bad thing, its actualy a very good thing, to have systems with proper defensive composition because it makes it imperative to bring those structures down first in any assault to spare the attacker a protracted length of engagement in a system that without them mite have fallen very quickly.
