After only finding out about this game recently (for which i'm forever thankful not sure if i could stand waiting months for this)

I've watched the beta 4 video's and I'm abit dissapointed with the fighting between the capital ships, it just doesn't look epic enough for me. I've always imagined these enormous machines of death to be full to the brim with guns of all sorts. The fighting I've seen only really shows a few kinds of guns being used what i wanted to see what hundreds of tracers being fired as in battle star Gallactica.

Secondly surely not every round will hit it's mark, now i understand this is the future but for eye candy's sake it would look nicer if there were more misses and more shots being fired.

Just my opinion what do you all think?

changable fire rates would be awesome.

There are some impressive things you can do with a bit of creative modding. Ripple-fired torpedo salvos using the bombardment missiles, broadside kol beams, and massive barrages of laser fire, all on an akkan. It looks amazing. If you want me to paste the file changes to get that, just ask.

i wouldent let him post the files cos i know what hes talking bout ( cos i have em and they look sweeet!) but yes we do have to put some more up to date guides on editing stuff but shouldent we realy wait for the tools? agfter all we dont know if they have made any changes to the code structure in their gammas?

They may have made changes to the structure, but the same info should still be there. The same things to edit. They may have added, or removed, but by knowing how it *was* done we can avoid having to re-invent the wheel on release. We just have to learn how to shape it again, instead.

get rid of the chisels and use the saws
most of the ship stuff is covered in the stickied post up top in the moding forum most of its still there, thats how i figured most of it out, i might post at some point some notes on the race files and a few others and get people who know other things to pitch in too

More uh, Plasma Cannons!

Actualy the TDN Cap, the one on the far left in the build screen puts out a fair bit of spray all over with its sentry guns. Ok, it puts out a huge ammount of spray and it looks awesome.

you aint seen nuthin yet pwn nuthin. what im working on blows the kol right outa the water in terms of amount of spray/firepower just wish the right side emmiters would work...

Actually everything you guys have seen in beta 4, by and large, have been placeholder particle fx. The final release is really quite spectacular in this regard.

Cool. I hope you guys stick to your guns with the oncoming updates like you have with the GC series. Its that extra post "gold" attention that sees alot of great tittles
across the actual finish line.
