Download Version Vs. CD Version

I can't wait for this game to come out! I just pre-ordered from here so I could get the collectors edition, but I have one small question: When I download the game, is it exactly the same as the version on the CD, or should I uninstall the downloaded version and reinstall it with the CD once I get it?

I'm sure they are same, Collectors give you extam stuff like tree-fold, ect, but not true for all company, I think when collectors edition give something exam or new item ingame, it's kind of not fair to people who has normal verson when collectors has more stuff ingame, but outside of ingame, no problem for me.

well i dont see the collectors edision in the web winkel ?? onli a cd versieon and at the game box photo u see its a dvd box ???? ;p  i litel confuste

Some of the images show the CE and some don't, but the important thing is that until we note otherwise (we'll announce when we get low or run out), all "Download + CD/Retail Box" preorders from us will be filled with collector's edition boxes.

No third parties or retailers will be carrying the collector's edition (so far).

I preordered the digital version of the game and wounder if I can download the beta somewhere. I just got an order number with the email, but no link where I can download beta. Is it to late? It would be great if I could try out the game before it's released because I will be in Thailand at the beginning to end of february. :(

Unless you pre-ordered with TGN tokens, you can't download the beta, since your pre-order hasn't been charged. It's always been an interesting quirk in the system that TGN tokens are used up as soon as you pre-order, granting you beta access whenever. Preorders from Stardock though are charged in batches (with each beta version), but as there are no more betas, the next batch will be charged on release.

Im wondering since i pre-ordered download only if i could change this so i get the collectors edition aswell.
I wont mind an extra charge or something, i just really want the collectors edition.

Yeah, we'll be able to upgrade from download only to a box on release. Going to be around $5 + s/h, according to a post Yarlen made in another thread.

Hi Croc, I believe you may be able to get the game before release if you purchase again using tokens and then email stardock sales to cancel your other order.  Can someone from Stardock confirm this?

The tokens you get from signing up on totalgaming.net, and you don't get the release sooner, only beta access (for what it's worth, since there are only 10 days till release) :P
