availability over the water

Hi all, just wondering if the games going to be available at a retail level over here in the uk...I've checked all the usual suspects (play, amazon, game) but none of them have it for preorder  (:( I know i can of course download it or buy it form amazon in the usa but i'd rather get it over here...
tnx for reading

Ah right, that makes it clearer. Thanks for the response. Shame no publisher took it up, I know there's a fair amount of 4X's on the market, but there is nothing like this game out there at all. In that case, the publishers need to look up some more capable employees who give the green light on titles they take on, because their going to miss out big time.

Am I being stupid.... to be honest... if someone was developing a game I would expect them to get all distribution problems sorted before a "general" release, and not force a staggered availability. Also... although I seriously doubt I will be happy to go ahead and buy it direct from america.... I went to look at the cd order and it tells me despatch will be $29.00...

Now this has gone up from the $10 mentioned earlier. I have not gone all the way to near completion of the transaction but just added item to cart. Now I guess this is the US charge in which case to send to UK when I would eventually get to the delivery address details it would add a further charge... making this one damn expensive game lol.

Ideally that would be the case, but it hasn't been so simple and easy as we'd all like. As noted, Euro publishers have been reluctant in the matter.

Unfortunately word just came down that due to the sheer weight of the Sins CE box that we've been taking a considerable loss on the shipping. I'd expect an announcement on the matter soon (tomorrow probably) along with the new rates.

We have shown Sins to every major publisher in Europe and worked on making a deal for over a year now. While they all felt the game was very well done, none of them would take it because they felt the German market would not support the title. Think of this what you will, but that's a deal-killer for companies overseas since Germany is the biggest market in Europe for games.

By the same token, we are not willing to hand it over to companies we don't think will handle it properly either. Bad launches = dead franchises.

We're currently in discussions with a smaller, reputable publisher for Europe. Things are still pretty early on, but we're hopeful everything will pan out. If it does, expect Sins in European retail in a few months.
