Do I need to wait for the disk?

I'm SOOOO excited for Sins to come out this Monday!

I bought the digital download plus the collectors box and was wondering, do I have to wait for my box to arrive before I can download the game, or do I get a serial number or something by E-mail?

you can download the game via stardock on the release date, and then activate it!

If you download it you should get via an email. If you get it in a store there should be one in the box.

I have a question i pre ordered the digital download only im assuming on monday ill be able to download the game but how do i get the serial number to activate it ?

While we are on the Pre-Order question, can I upgrade from a Digital Download to a Digital Download + CE (i.e. Retail box)? and the the difference ?

You'll be able to upgrade on Feb 4th (release date). You'll have to pay $5 materials fee + shipping.

Silly me, I just checked the FAQ part of my Email and found this:

Q: If I order a CD, how do I get my serial number?

A: For most of our CD orders, you will be provided with your serial number information as soon as your order is processed. You will also be provided with download information so you can get started right away before your CD arrives.

That clears things up! :)

OK, I just wanna double check :P

So I can pay for Digital Download now, get it setup and ready for the 4th, then pay the $5 dollers + shipping on release day so they can send my CD?

Yep yep, you got it :P Just remember that you need to use totalgaming.net tokens for beta access ;) If you were going for beta, anyway.. I'm getting some threads mixed up, sorry :P

Essentially, yes, thats what you have to do if you want Beta access for the next 6 days. Note that it also HAS to be from totalgaming.net to get the Beta.

If you're not so hot under the collar, just preorder DL+Retail from the links above under "Store" and you'll get nice shiny Collectors Edition goodies mailed to you with your DVD, but won't get to Download and play until Feb. 4th

Yeah I'm not going for the Beta, as I know the beta is a few months old.

I'm in no rush for the game ;)

btw, why do I keep mentioning cd's instead of dvd's :S hehe

If you're not interested in the beta, it's simplest to just order a box outright rather than trying to monkey around with getting it upgraded at release.
