Local game stores not to sell sins`?

Hi, like all of you i am very eager to get my hands on this game as soon as its released, but today i went to every game store in town and none of them had any information on when this game was going to ship, i went to the local Eb games store and they said that they are not even going to sell the game, the clerks didn't know why either, i live in Sweden, any one mind shedding some light over this issue for me please? :(

What HavoC said. Stardock hasn't been able to find a European publisher willing to take on the game for the last year. They're in negotiations with one right now (we don't really get day by day updates on this, though) and hope to make it available in Europe retail stores in a few months.

You can still order through Stardock and have it shipped (or just get the download only version if you don't care about the Collector's Edition) so you don't have to wait those months - just note that the CE box is 3 lbs which will cost a pretty penny to ship overseas.

Unfortunately, few of the publishers in Europe think that space games sell anymore so they won't pick up Sins. There are things in progress but at this point the best option is to order direct from the Store button above. If you pick the boxed option, you get to download it on the 4th and the Collector's Edition Boxed Version (with all the awesome goodies) will be sent to you by mail. Given the current state of the American dollar against the Europe the price isn't too bad at all even once you've factored in shipping.

I am fairly new here but I have been lurking for a while, out of curiosity has there been any suggestions to ship the game with steam.

If you order here you will be able to play it on release day for sure because whether you order boxed or not, you can still download it right away while you wait for the box to be shipped.

To clarify the situation on Europe retail, the things did not work out with publisher we were talking to. So unless something changes in the market there, and the publishers see there is demand for it, Sins will not be at Europe retail.

Steam is a competitor... not going to happen. We already have our own digital distribution system, so people anywhere in the world can already buy direct from us.

Well, DUH. If you don't put them in the stores, people won't buy them.
Just because DarkStarOne flopped, doesn't mean we don't want the spacegames....

If you think about it, steam has a pretty big community themselves which would mean more potential consumers. :NOTSURE: Sometimes competition can be a bad thing.

So that means everyone must buy the game :)
