ITT: When we preordered Soase

And when we started clapping our hands in hapiness

I'm interested in seeing when people pre-ordered Sins, for me it was back in Beta2 (missed beta 1 by a week)

Anyone else?

Beta 1. Bought Galciv2, needed something to do with the other five tokens, and grabbed this, which has gotten considerably more play than Galciv.

Can't preorder, but have been interested since the early days before the beta.

I started from beta 1. I preordered it, and have been playing it since.
It is interesting to keep re-discovering the changes, the little tweaks, and how one little tweak here, causes a huge problem there.

Beta 1, and haven't had second thoughts about getting a beta for this game. It is the best game I have seen in quite a while.

Just pre-ordered tonight. No idea if I'll like the game or not as I'm not normally an RTS fan but I think there is enough here for me to enjoy. Besides, I love supporting Stardock and if I don't like it I can give it to a friend who I know will love it. Either way Stardock (and Ironclad) gets a sale.

I originally pre-ordered the game just before beta 1 came out, and the release date had been pushed back to Feb 2008. I decided I didn't have the patinece to participate in beta that long, so canceled my pre-order. I then re-pre-ordered it right at the cutoff of beta 4.

Beta 2, on July 17th or so. I used the extended beta2 entry period, obviously, and have tremendously enjoyed the ride. (Thank goodness for my "birthday present" to myself!)

Beta 4, but I've been following it since before Stardock got involved.

I actually pre-ordered back in early Beta 3.. I downloaded Beta 2 off a torrent site and became really interested.. When Beta 3 was released I was so hooked I had to buy it..

With the exception of finding out theres no campaign I haven't regretted it yet... However Stardock has never been good at making campaign's (Gal Civ's are all to barebones) so it's probably for the best!

I don't even remember... it was well in advance of Beta 1. I've been following the game since November 2005.

*turns brag mode on*

And I got the first post on these forums :D

During beta 4(wasn't there a patch or something for it?).

End of quote

Yes, two days after they released beta 4 they released a hotfix. And there was a "patch" a little while ago to fix a server-side error -- it didn't do anything for the game, just fixed the server handing out outdated data.

Erm... I think I pre-ordered back in January of 2007... Only found out about Sins in late 2006 (Nov-Dec)
