Question about Day One download

I was wondering? If Stardock's servers are ready for all the download request that will be requested on Feb. 4th. And if the downloads will be fast or at snails pace.

I purchased GalCiv 1 and 2 from Stardock using the pre-order download method, with box through shipment. I've never had a problem downloading on Day 1. They're good about that.

I don't want to sound like I have lack of faith, but every download on release day I have seen, slows down. Even getting the serial checked out for Bioshock took nearly an hour! :O

Expect the worst, hope for the Best (800kb/s if we're talking figures) ;)

Lookit that extra stylish 5" floppy drive! And that monitor has to be at least 13"!

I'll be fine as long as I can use a download manager (particularly Flashgot).

Downloads will be coming off a special hosting provider who has multiple servers across the U.S. and literally gigabits of bandwidth to serve it all. I wouldn't worry about it. :P

Is there anyway to get the Collector's Edition in a store anywhere? Like, if you do not want to pay the $15 dollars shipping and handling, can you still get it somewhere? I (think) I heard somewhere that it would be at somewhere called Fry's, but I was wondering if there was anywhere else?

I don't believe any retailer is going to carry the CE.

Sorry if this question has already been asked, but the counter at the top of the page counts down to Midnight on Monday, Feb.4th. Does that mean we have to wait until Tuesday to download? (Or is my math just bad?!)

The counter is tied to your PC clock, so it's just an estimate :P It should be released for download sometime late afternoon US east coast time.
