For retailers. Most likely due to translations, I guess.

I'm from the EU also (Germany), so I feel with you. However, you can use either a credit card (not very common, at least in Germany) or PayPal to order online. You get instant access to the download and the CD as well, if you want to pay for shipping.

However, I'd suggest you start the download early in the morning, later in the day the US servers seem to be favouring downloads from the wrong side of the Atlantic. ;)

Whow matey clam down please. Its not that Stardock didnt do their utmost best to find an European publisher. There is non who take their game :( Its not their fault you dont have a cc or paypal account or that you dont know anyone who has one.

Get inventive and search for one who has a cc or paypal account.

I'd be interested to see where you're getting that date from--chances are the store is either importing or incorrect.

We've been trying to get a Euro publisher on board for some time, but none of them believe the German market (biggest for PC gaming in Europe) will support a Space RTS right now. As such, no publisher means no native Euro retail for Sins, unfortunately. So importing or direct-orders are really the only option for European players.

Geesh, calm down. Why would anyone be angry? If you don't have a credit card, speak to a friend/family member who does. It's not rocket science.

Downloading on Monday at the stroke of midnight (yeah I know it isn't going to be that easy - I just want to play it by the time I get home from work lol).

It's really uncommon. You simply don't need it. Online stores usually deduct the money directly from your bank account, and offline stores accept EC cards (the ones you use to draw cash from the ATMs). Those cards (actually they're MaestroCards, division of MasterCard) are usable more or less all over Europe and contrary to credit card they don't cost a yearly fee and everybody with a bank account (Giro) has one. So, really, there is no need for credit cards.

Can I move to Europe now?  X-(

Actually, my main reason for not getting a credit card is simple bookkeeping. EC cards / PayPal work instantly on my account. I don't need to keep track of what I paid until the CC company sends me a bill.

So, call me lazy. :P

Back on topic:
I don't know where you live, but if you're inside the DACH zone (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) try www.okaysoft.de

It's an import, 47 Euros, but they say available from 8.2., with shipping basically the week after the US release. Would be good enough for me...
