ETA

I had a go at trying to find this with the search tool but didn't have any luck. When you order units to go somewhere do you get a displayed ETA as in Supreme Commander? If not is that something you would consider adding? Thanks.

That's not present, but if there's enough demand for it, we'll consider it for an update.

That's actually a GREAT idea... I don't think I've ever seen it mentioned before.

excellent idea, i second that, or third it whatever. I really like that feature in SupCom. would be nice. :CONGRAT:

yeah , it would be nice if my 2 fleets would arrive at the same time, they are always 30-60 seconds apart...

it would also be a nice touch to see the physical distance between planets <3

yeah that would be nice, i like being able to do that in SupCom, also could you maybe add in a feature that SupCom has (it's not necessary but would be nice) where if u tell a group of units to move to attack a unit then tell another group to do the same using shift (in SupCom) you can choose to have them attack the same target but they both arrive at the same time.

this may take up too much time and if so i totally understand, but would be nice to have two fleets launch a coordinated attack with 4 clicks :D

YES THE IDEA about units from different locations on the map hitting the target at the same time is an awesome feature in SUPCOM that i greatly enjoy. it helps out greatly. definately consider that for a future patch.

I have never played SupCom, so i dont know what the ETA timer looks like, but if it displays teh ETA in the UI, then i am against it, because it would clutter up teh screen. If it displays it ONLY when you highlight the fleet, then i am FOR it because its a good idea.

In Supreme Commander it shows up in very small type at the point the unit(s) is moving to. It is only displayed when you hold shift to view movement/attack orders that you've placed in the past.

it only shows up when you hold shift key on the unit selected....the shift key just displays waypoint info etc if you have already given the unit direction. show its not on the screen at all times just when you want to see it

Also, does the resource part of the UI have any indication of how fast the total is increasing or decreasing? In Supreme Commander it is marked with a (+ or -). I find this pretty helpful to be able to judge building things.

The tool-tip (infocard)when you hover over the resource number includes an increase/sec listed for each planet and trade center in your empire. Does the same for metal and crystal too.

When you hover over the resource info at the top of the UI or when you hover over the planet? Seems better to have it displayed all the time for ease of use.

The planet's infocard will contain its own resource/income info.

The one from the UI will list all the planets as well as an overall total.

Its only really useful in this game to be able to judge where you are earning money and where you are losing it. Unlike Supcom, spending is not over time, but lump-sum. I.E. when you click to build a Capitol Ship, 3000 credits 400 metal and 250 crystal are immediately removed from your stockpile; thus you CANNOT begin building until you have amassed all of the requisite resources.

Ah, I didn't realise that. Thanks. Makes sense that you don't need it to the same extent then.
