Release dates?

Hello, everybody I have been looking at this game before beta 1 came out. I look at the release dates, Gamestop release date is Monday February 4. Amazon release date is Feb.5 and looking at your countdown timer will be Tuesday Feb. 5

While most games come out on Tuesday, has the release date changed from Feb. 4 as Gamestop says (which I pre-ordered there)

I know this might be an idiot question? But I don't want to go to town on Monday, then find the release day is on Tuesday.

The release date is Monday (meaning those who ordered from Stardock will be able to download it on Monday). However, retail stores may take extra to get the boxes on shelves/ship them out.

The online release will be Monday sometime, but stores may vary based on shipping times. So they may have it Monday or Tuesday... simplest thing to do is just call ahead to the store and see if they got it.

So true, why drive to the store waste your time / gas, when you can just download it and have it mailed to you!

Because I have no credit card at the moment, nor the info for my checking account! (Where -did- that checkbook go?).

Anyway, if you plan to get it on preorder from Gamestop, you'll need to wait until Tuesday to pick it up in almost every case. Just how the shipping works at the company.

I was hoping for another push back so that it would become what it was promoted to be.

To bad I already paid lol... just proves again you shouldn't believe the hype on a website. I figured stardock also being being behind it was a safe bet :P

Ah well... Getting a true 4x/RTS game was a bit to much for IC - so they opted for a rts with a tad more research options and a big "map". :NOTSURE:

Ill give it a go on monday then its prob back to Sots/galciv2...

This is a lot more than an "RTS with a tad more research and a big map" -- there are plenty of 4X elements in there, if not as many as some would like. Its also a radical change from standard RTS's in that it incorporates a serious degree of economy, and other non-military actions.
