Well it looks like EFF is going to try to make on-line gaming cheaper for all of us. It is petitioning for a review of a patent on "any and all on-line, multiplayer games that offer real-time updates of player rankings and use tournament-style play".

The EFF appears to be building a strong case. The is effort is part of its patent busting project.

Yeah, the patent system is bollucks. I can't believe 20% of the human genome is actually patented by American universities and pharma corps.

Please tell me you're joking right?  :SURPRISED:  Do you realize how much money the Pharmas already make off their patents for every drug they roll out? Why do you think they haven't offically cured cancer or any other major diseases...there is no money in it. They would lose billions upon billions a year.

No but it was PUBLIC tax money that did help fund it, for those done by american science and pharma companies.
