When Does pre-order change to order

It should be available now.

It better not be, if someone orders now and gets their serial before me. I will destroy the world. Or at least a small piece of paper here and howl at the moon. Or the ceiling.

Well the orders are now automated and I imagine the pre-orders will have to be done manually?

Bah, I was hoping to be able to download before release even though I wouldn't have been able to play would have been fine, just knowing all I had to do come release day was to download say 5-10% more. But no, now people who are just now buying the game via other ways besides directly from SD and downloading already is well, shall I say very disheartening. At least give those who paid in advance the option to have most of the game downloaded before the great flood ensues which I'm sure I have the great luxury of experiencing later.

You can't cancel automatically, so they might send your serial of the pre-order before the cancellation goes through. To much complexity at this time, just wait it out.

It's no longer possible to cancel your pre-order and just re-order. The system's churning through as fast as it can.

uhg and I preordered this morning so now I will be one of the last ones to get a serial number... sigh. I guess I should have skipped the pre-order and just waited for the buy now option.

Lesson learnt for SD, never underestimate how impatient people are. Never underestimate how people will bitch and moan over the slightest thing if they get bored. Present company exluded of course

Hmmm, as a company owner I would try to convince my team to take the following position..

"If we provide a product to our customers and they show us loyalty by entering into a preordering contract they should be rewarded by receiving said product promplty and before those that choose to pay on release"

But thats just me.

Well, I canceled my pre-order and re-ordered it, within a minute, I got my serial number, it's actually almost finished downloading already. I just hope I wasn't too late and got charged twice lol.

The concern was that the majority would complain if we charged pre-orders a day early without providing the final game. We will be re-evaluating this for the future, but clearly there's nothing to be done about it today.

Dang. I who preordered a couple days ago, suppose I'm at the end of the preorder queue. /me goes off on an epic rant about how horrible and unjust the world is, whilst doing an impressive impersonation of angry German kid

werd, cant please everyone. Someone will always be urinated no matter what way you do. But I think this way is better people just need patience
