IronClad not accepting serial number

My digital download just finished installing, and I tried to logon to Ironclad. The account I created on Ironclad is coming up with "Account name not found." That's fine, I tried to create a new one.

It asks for CD key, and I provided the serial number (from My Account here on the forums, which matches the one in the "Lookup Serial Number" email from Stardock. It says it's an invalid CD key. I don't have any other numbers.

Please help!

Hm, perhaps it's general launch-day bugginess... I tried the "Download Updates" button on the main menu, and it opened up https://www.sinsofasolarempire.com/signup ... and that page isn't accepting my Stardock signin (in the box on the right). I just verified my account name and password in Stardock Central itself, so it's probably a problem on Ironclad's side.

Please send your Stardock.net account info (email address) and the serial number you are trying to use to [email protected].

* Previous accounts on the ICO Server will need to be recreated as all Beta accounts have been cleared.

* When logging on to the updates page on the website please use your Stardock.net account.  Not your ICO Server account.  The ICO Server account is separate.

* If you are having difficulties with either the website or ICO server accepting your serial number please email me at [email protected] and provide with details of your account and I will check it out.

try checking earlier emails as my lookup serial key was different to my actual key

if that fails, then try going to the register products screen and selecting games, then sins, and paste that serial

Stardock accepts my serial from the email I received, when I register the product. However, it is that serial that ironclad won't accept.

If you have the key, simply install the Stardock Central application, go to the 'games' tab, then select the 'Registration info' on the bottom right. There you can enter your cd key. Confirm it and the 'Games' tab should update- Right click 'Sins of a solar empire' and choose 'Install'

That's all there is to it :)

No problem. Just add the dashes in your Key and you'll be fine. We'll be posting a fix in a few minutes so it'll handle any variations.

Okay, just created my account. This is going to be problematic for Ironclad, as lots of people are going to try to put in the wrong thing, like I did.

The serial number that comes up in My Account here on this site, and in my Stardock "Look up my serial numbers" email, would not work. I found another serial number in my original email receipt from September - a 5x5 key. That key worked.
