Someone please tell me... have I been dupped?

Sorry for the multi-baord post but... I am concerned about my purchase.

I am downloading right now.

1. What is with all the messages about waiting for a serial? I ordered back in December and have a Serial I got the same day. Do I have to wait for another serial number before I can download and use the retail release?!?!

2. When can I expect my CD to come in the mail? I will be truely upset if I have to stare at retail copies for weeks while waiting for my pre-ordered copy.

3. I paid $44.95 back in December for what is listed on my Receipt as "CD Pre-Order", now I see the digital download only is $44.95. Someone please tell me that I am still getting my packaged CD and book and such. If not I will be even more upset if I have fallen for some bait and switch crap!

It sounds like you ordered before the Beta 4 processing closed? If so, then yes, you already paid for it and the key is the same.

It shipped today with USPS I believe, so give it a few days. (unless you're overseas, which will be longer)

If it says CD, you should be getting a collector's edition box with all the goodies. I'm pretty sure you can email [email protected] and have it confirmed, though.

Pre-ordering with CD = Collectors? If that's true then you just made my day, I bought the game the day I heard about it with the CD (because I like to have something physical), and then heard about the Collector's edition a few days ago. I was quite depressed that I might have missed out on something.

While I haven't lurked around this board I have been anxiously awaiting the game.
I was Seriously bummed when I thought I had been subject to some BS bait and siwtch deal.

Collectors Edition! Sweet! I too am glad I ordered early now. I guess sometimes
