Just give us an exe file to decompress and recompress it's usually a 33kb file. Or if that's to difficult place a zip file with all the files in the gameinfo folder uncompressed on the downloads section.
Because at this point theres really no need for a modding community because you can't mod.
I downloaded 1.02 but right now i'm confused to why. I guess I will hit the forum to find out what's changed I was hopeing they gave the modders a break with the patch. (:(
I'll post the text versions of the files up on my personal site to get you guys going (now that v1.02 is out). They'll be up sometime tonight.

Outstanding! Thank you.
Shadow__Warrior you know what a contract is? Those of us who participated in the beta for a good 6 or 8 months were told that when you pre-order the game you'd be getting the full game on the release date.
Well the thing is modding is a big part of a game like this; to have the tools not included like this is pretty much a breach of contract it's not the full game.
Beta users such as myself have been playing the game for quite sometime I had a completley customized mod and was hopeing to begin updateing the changes to the final copy right away so my buddies and i could finally play it on multiplayer.
I hate the waiting game.
Unfortunately, none since Blair's post. Unless someone here knows what Blair's personal website is so we can check it for the download?

That's great. Could you kindly tell me where to find your personal site please. I couldn't find any where on the forum.
thanks
Mod tools and support are not part of the contract however I personally told you'd we'd have them out as soon as possible. Two of us are here at 1:30am in the morning on a Saturday after a very crazy month and especially crazy week prepping some files for you guys. The the text files will be up tonight and I'll post here as soon as they are. ![]()

by the way, when you say the text file, can .txt files replace .entity files in the game for the mods to work?
thanks

A dev have said the game can do just that.
The reason for the binary encoding is that it is much quicker for a computer to read a binary encoded file compared to a ASCII encoded file so the load time will increase slightly if you are playing a very large mod.

All the .entity files in the Gameinfo folder are currently in a binary encoded format for faster loading of the files by the game. Blair will be providing us the files in a normal text format you can edit in Notepad, Wordpad, etc.
As I understand it we'll just need to set up a mod folder for the game to have the option of loading the text files we'll be changing instead of the base binary files.

Great. Now for the big question since I apparently missed something; what is the URL for your personal site?
read the quote..they'll be posted here...you've missed nothing
